About Portrait

Workshop with Estela de Castro

Saturday, May 25th

Look, feel, breathe… I propose shooting less and thinking more. Care for every inch of that portion of the world we have chosen to create an image, to tell a story, to make a portrait.

Portraiture is one of the most complex genres of photography because it not only involves technical aspects like handling light or composition, but also requires us to face the person we are going to photograph.

We will discuss how to introduce the subject into the environment without overshadowing them and how to make our images more balanced and correct. We will analyze the most common mistakes we tend to make when taking a portrait and how to correct them. I will share my working method, tips, and anecdotes.
