Inauguration and Tribute to J. M. Díaz Burgos

During the second weekend of the Festival, from May 23 to 25, as usual, the inauguration will take place alongside the tribute. This is the moment when most of the activities unfold, and the majority of the participating artists in Revela’t Festival.

Additionally, we will take advantage of the Welcome Friday to present our Silver Pin to this edition’s honored artist.

In this thirteenth edition of the festival, we are honored to pay tribute to the great Juan Manuel Díaz Burgos, marking the beginning of an exceptional weekend. We will also be joined by distinguished colleagues and friends who will offer an insight into his work.

Following this, we will head to the exhibition hall where Movimiento Continuo is displayed, in the annex building next to the Theater, where Díaz Burgos himself will give a brief introduction.

Afterward, we will enjoy refreshments and long-awaited reunions, sharing hugs, conversations, toasts, and memories year after year.

Juan Manuel Díaz Burgos is a documentary and humanist photographer whose work is deeply influenced by his interest in identity, culture, and traditions across various communities.

His work has been exhibited in numerous countries and has received significant accolades, including the Bartolomé Ros Award from PhE and the Piedad Isla Award, as well as other prestigious recognitions in Spain and Latin America.

He has published over fifteen photobooks and has worked as a curator and researcher in the field of photographic history.
