What is the Revela’T festival
Revela’t is an international festival dedicated to contemporary analog photography, held annually in Vilassar de Dalt, near Barcelona. Since its first edition, the festival has established itself as a meeting point for photography enthusiasts in general, artists, students, researchers, laboratories, and audiences interested in chemical photographic processes and historical techniques.
The festival was created with the aim of highlighting the value of analog photography in a context dominated by digital imagery. Far from being a nostalgic practice, analog photography has become a space for artistic research and technical experimentation that continues to evolve today.
Each edition brings together a series of exhibitions centered around a theme proposed each year, along with workshops, talks, and educational activities focused on contemporary analog photography. Photographers from around the world present projects that use film photography or traditional processes such as wet collodion and many others.
Over the years, Revela’t has established itself as one of the few international pltaforms dedicated exclusively to contemporary analog photography, connecting emerging artists with recognized figures within this discipline.
The festival takes place across different venues in Vilassar de Dalt, turning the town into an international hub for analog photography for several weeks.
