Call to exhibit at Revela’t 2026
The open call for exhibitions aims to select three projects created in the field of analog photography, which will receive prizes (covering production or transport and fees) and will be exhibited during the next edition of the Revela’t Festival, taking place between May and June 2026 (dates to be confirmed).
In addition to these three awarded projects, several more may be selected to be exhibited if the authors so wish, although these will not receive the same financial support. Exhibiting at the festival includes travel and accommodation support for the winners, international promotion, and opportunities to connect with other professionals from the cultural sector, particularly those working in photography.
The call is open to all photographers who have an analog project and the ambition, desire, and motivation to share it with the world. Revela’t is a platform for visibility that welcomes both internationally renowned and emerging photographers each year, because we believe in the power of strong projects and in the importance of providing opportunities to authors who have not yet built a consolidated career.
All participants, whether selected or not, will have the opportunity to share their work through a digital projection that will take place at the festival’s main venue.
You have time until November 16, 2025.
20 ways to escape
In a world saturated with stimuli, uncertainties, and limitations, we all seek a way out. “Escape routes” are not just paths that lead us away from a place — they are also mental, emotional, and creative trajectories that allow us to imagine other worlds, challenge the rules, and build new realities from fresh perspectives.
We want this edition of Revela’t to be an exploration of those routes. Because analog (or chemical, if you prefer) photography is, in itself, a form of escape — a gesture of resistance, a pause, a way to reconnect with what truly matters.
We invite artists, photographers, and visual storytellers to reflect on the many ways of escaping and resisting — of seeking exits and shelters, of drawing alternative maps in uncertain times.
There will be 20 exhibitions, but there are infinite ways to find your escape route — and yours might just be one of the 20.
About the festival
The Revela’t Contemporary Analog Photography Festival is the first analog photography festival in the world, and it has been held for fourteen years in Vilassar de Dalt (Barcelona). It’s a celebration of analog photography that features exhibitions, markets, workshops, and many other activities, bringing together renowned artists and emerging talents in the same space.
During the main week of the festival, all participating artists meet in person. A wide range of activities and gatherings are organized — including guided tours, talks, conferences, and more. One of the most valuable things you’ll take away from the festival are the connections and relationships you’ll build while you’re there.
Who Can Apply and How
The open call is open to amateur, emerging, and professional photographers of any nationality, background, or place of residence, who have a project in the field of analog or chemical photography that relates to the theme of this edition.
Submissions are made through Picter, a widely used platform for this type of call. It is user-friendly and allows participants to save and reuse their projects for other international open calls. It is also a very practical tool for the jury, streamlining the voting process and making evaluations more thoughtful and accurate. When uploading your project, the platform will request a BIO (up to 1,500 characters), A PROJECT DESCRIPTION (up to 2,500 characters) and between 10 and 15 images, in JPG format, with the longest side at 1500 px
If prepared in advance, the whole process is very quick. You may submit more than one project, but each must be submitted as a separate entry.
