Under this year's theme, Ways of Escaping, this exhibition brings together twenty photobooks that explore escape as a creative act: escaping the conventional gaze, documentary certainty, one's own body, or the place one has been assigned. Through a wide variety of visual and narrative approaches, these works propose paths of escape that range from the intimate to the collective, from personal testimony to the construction of possible worlds.

Some artists escape inwards, delving into memory, grief or identity; others escape outwards, crossing borders, territories devastated by conflict or landscapes on the edge. There are silent, almost invisible escapes, and others that burst into the image with all their urgency. In all cases, the photobook becomes the space where this escape is fixed, latent, waiting to be revealed by the one who opens it.

The exhibition offers, then, a journey through different ways of escaping without leaving the spot: by looking differently, by stopping where the world urges us to hurry, or by imagining that which reality has not yet revealed.
