How to get there
Vilassar de Dalt
Vilassar de Dalt is a small town located in the Maresme region, around 30 km north of Barcelona, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Serralada Litoral mountain range.
It also has a rich cultural, natural, industrial and archaeological heritage. Its historic centre, dominated by a 10th-century castle declared a historic monument, and its textile industrial past, of which Cal Garbat is one of the most emblematic examples, make it a unique setting for the festival.
Its archaeological heritage also includes several megalithic sites in the Can Boquet area and the Roca d’en Toni dolmen.
The Teatre de la Massa, whose dome was designed by architect Rafael Guastavino, is the driving force behind the town’s cultural activity.
Cal Garbat
The starting point for the exhibitions, and where most of them are located, is the former Cal Garbat factory (Carrer Balears, 12, 08339 Vilassar de Dalt, Barcelona). There you will find the information point, ticket sales and merchandising, and you will be given information about the location of the other exhibitions, all less than five minutes away on foot.
During the week, all venues except the Cal Garbat Factory will be closed from 2 pm to 4 pm.
If you come by car
From Barcelona, take the C-32 motorway towards Mataró, then take exit 92 Vilassar de Dalt – Premià. At the motorway exit, take the road towards Vilassar de Dalt.
You can also get there from the N-II, in Premià de Mar, by taking the road that goes to Vilassar de Dalt.

We recommend parking directly in the industrial area, where there are more parking spaces, and walking 10 minutes from there. (C/ Eduard Calvet i Pinto).
By bus
From Barcelona, you can take bus 803 or 806, which depart from Gran Via, Passeig de Gràcia or Plaça Tetuan.
Get off at the last stop, which will leave you next to the former industrial complex.
From Mataró, you can take bus C30.
By train
You can get there by taking the R1 commuter train line and getting off at Premià de Mar station.
From there, you can take a taxi or bus C30 (Mataró-Vilassar de Dalt).
In both cases, you must leave the station and cross the road.
By plane
From the airport, you can take a bus that stops at all terminals to Plaça Catalunya, and then take bus 803 or 806, which go directly to Vilassar de Dalt.
Where to stay
There is only one hotel in Vilassar de Dalt, so accommodation availability is limited and we are not able to manage accommodation for visitors. However, there are several alternatives:
- You can look for a hotel in nearby towns, where there are many options available in the area, or for tourist accommodation in Vilassar itself.
- Another option is to stay in Barcelona, which offers a wide range of centrally located accommodation. From there, you can reach Vilassar de Dalt in approximately 20 minutes by bus 803.
- If you come in a camper van, you can park in the industrial area of Vilassar de Dalt, where parking is easy.
