Family albums, public archives, flea markets and even rubbish can become an endless source of images for developing creative projects. This workshop invites participants to reflect on photographic archives and the possibilities of bringing forgotten photographs back to life in order to create new narratives and personal projects.
Through the analysis of found materials and personal or external archives, participants will learn techniques to interpret, contextualise and give new life to images from the past.

Paco Gómez (Madrid, 1971) is a civil engineer, although he never practised the profession. He has worked in the field of visual imagery since 1996. For eight years, he was an assistant to photographer Castro Prieto, a period during which he came into direct contact with some of the leading figures in Spanish photography.
He is a founding member of the NOPHOTO collective and currently combines his work as a photographer with writing, curating, exhibition design, and the coordination of crowdfunding campaigns and publishing projects.
He runs the publishing house Fracaso Books, where he has published six books exploring the relationship between photography and literature: Los Modlin (2012), Proyecto K. (2015), Volverás a la Antártida (2017), Wattebled o el rastro de las cosas (2020), Carta al hermano (2021), and Documento Nacional (2022). He is also the picture editor of Líbero magazine, an acquisitions adviser for the Alcobendas City Council Photography Collection, artistic curator of the REGIÓN photographic mission, and Minister of the Lost Image.
