Mission

To preserve and promote the artistic and technical value of analog photography through handcrafted and reflective processes. Revela’T aims to generate a dialogue about the relevance of this form of art in a digital world, connecting photographers from different backgrounds and generations with a diverse and global audience.

We raise awareness of little-known social realities and offer activities for at-risk groups, with the goal of promoting social integration and equipping them with tools for personal expression through photography.

Vision

We aim to be an international meeting point for photography in general and analog photography in particular, to inspire future generations of creators and to establish ourselves as a space for creativity and innovation. We are part of a network of global festivals that promote analog photography as an art form, and also as a tool to connect with the personal stories of each author. Currently, we are 10 festivals (out of 20) that gather each year at one of the festivals we organize.

We are committed to strengthening the bond between photographers, the professional sector, and the general public. For this purpose, we offer activities like portfolio reviews that help emerging photographers connect with experienced professionals and develop their careers. We also foster a critical spirit through talks with authors and roundtable discussions on the role of photography in today’s society.

Values

The values of the festival are based on respect for authenticity, community, and sustainability:

  • Authenticity: We value analog photography as a commitment to create long-term projects, focusing on manual processes that give depth and intention to the final work.
  • Community: We believe in an inclusive community where photographers, artists, and enthusiasts share, learn, and collaborate. We organize meeting and exchange spaces, from photography markets to workshops for all ages. We provide free access to the festival for people from the local community.
  • Innovation from Tradition: We promote creativity through the combination of traditional techniques with contemporary perspectives. We encourage artists to explore new languages without losing the essence of analog photography, with hybridizations in various fields of art in general.
  • Commitment to Sustainability: We strive to reduce the environmental impact of the festival. We prioritize the use of recycled materials in exhibitions and encourage participants to adopt sustainable practices in their photographic production.

The Revela’T Festival is a celebration of photography as an artistic and cultural expression and a platform for learning, inspiration, and connecting with people driven by cultural and artistic motivations.
