Potential Histories, Parallel Universes<\/strong> explora c\u00f3mo la inteligencia artificial y la imagen sint\u00e9tica est\u00e1n transformando la percepci\u00f3n de la realidad y cuestionando la autenticidad fotogr\u00e1fica. La muestra confronta la fotograf\u00eda anal\u00f3gica con un nuevo paradigma visual que desaf\u00eda sus l\u00edmites y potencialidades y propone un di\u00e1logo entre la creaci\u00f3n fotogr\u00e1fica tradicional y las nuevas im\u00e1genes generadas por algoritmos.<\/p>\n

Tal como la fotograf\u00eda permiti\u00f3 a los pintores del siglo XIX explorar nuevos caminos como el impresionismo o el cubismo, hoy los fot\u00f3grafos enfrentan un desaf\u00edo similar: reinventar su medio en un mundo donde la imagen sint\u00e9tica reescribe las reglas.<\/p>\n

No se busca reemplazar la autenticidad de la fotograf\u00eda anal\u00f3gica, sino abrir un espacio de reflexi\u00f3n sobre c\u00f3mo estas nuevas herramientas pueden integrarse o desafiar el discurso visual actual. La exposici\u00f3n es, en \u00faltima instancia, una invitaci\u00f3n a reconsiderar qu\u00e9 significa “ver” en el siglo XXI y c\u00f3mo la fotograf\u00eda, en todas sus formas, sigue siendo esencial para capturar, debatir y redefinir la realidad.<\/p>\n

Todas estas im\u00e1genes son sint\u00e9ticas, no fotograf\u00edas, generadas por sistemas de inteligencia artificial en respuesta a indicaciones textuales de Fred Ritchin. Se han transformado y el resultado es un papel fotogr\u00e1fico C-type Lambda.<\/p>\n

Fred Ritchin (New York, Estados Unidos)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Es escritor, educador, comisario y cr\u00edtico de fotograf\u00eda. Es decano em\u00e9rito de la International Center of Photography (ICP) School, donde tambi\u00e9n fund\u00f3 el programa anual de fotograf\u00eda documental y fotoperiodismo. Ritchin fue profesor de Fotograf\u00eda e Imagen en la Tisch School of the Arts de la Universidad de Nueva York y codirector del programa educativo de fotograf\u00eda y derechos humanos NYU\/Magnum Foundation. Tambi\u00e9n es autor de cuatro libros sobre el futuro de la imagen; su \u00faltimo libro, The Synthetic Eye: Photography Transformed in the Age of AI<\/i>, acaba de ser publicado por Thames & Hudson.<\/p>\n
