It all began in 1991 when Juan Manuel D\u00edaz Burgos<\/strong> visited Havana for the first time, just at the start of the “Special Period,” a time of crisis following the collapse of the Soviet Union.<\/b> Drawn to the city and its people, he returned in 1995 with a clear goal: to photograph life along the Malec\u00f3n, leading to his first major work, Malec\u00f3n de La Habana. El gran sof\u00e1.<\/i><\/p>\n Over time, his curiosity led him to explore a more intimate and lesser-known Havana, away from tourism, with projects such as La Habana. Visi\u00f3n interior<\/i>, DESEO<\/i>, and Bienvenidos a La Boca.<\/i><\/p>\n Movimiento Continuo<\/i> is a photographic project that spans over 32 years of observation and documentation of life in Cuba\u2014a country where creativity and resilience are essential for survival.<\/p>\n Throughout the years, the photographer has witnessed the Cuban people’s ability to “invent and solve” any everyday problem.
