Revela’t 2019: The good and the bad of the human being
The slogan of the 2019 edition was Klaatu Barada Nikto, a mythical phrase from a well-known science fiction film and with which we aimed to stimulate photographic projects that reflect the complex relationship between human beings and the planet by asking ourselves two very specific questions: Why would we deserve to be destroyed? or Why would we deserve to be saved?
This year’s edition featured two Magnum photographers, Bruce Gilden and David Burnett, who kindly lent us their exhibitions.
We opened in the Teatro la Massa, with the film “De donde no se vuelve” by Alberto García Alix who received our “Distintivo de Plata“.
And it was our first Revela’t Day at the Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm in Barcelona, where we far exceeded expectations. And in Barcelona we also had a great exhibition by Acción Cultural Española AC/E and Signo Editores, “50 photographs with history“, which tens of thousands of people were able to see, on Passeig Colom.
