Coincidiendo con el 65.\u00ba cumplea\u00f1os de la exposici\u00f3n\u00a0<\/span>The\u00a0Family\u00a0Of<\/strong> Man<\/strong>, comisariada por <\/span>Edward\u00a0<\/span>Steichen<\/span>, hemos tomado esta ic\u00f3nica exposici\u00f3n como leitmotiv de la edici\u00f3n 2020 del Revela’t.<\/span><\/p>\n

The<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Family<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Of<\/span> Man se enmarca en los a\u00f1os 50<\/strong>, una d\u00e9cada especialmente convulsa en que <\/span>se producen fen\u00f3menos sociopol\u00edticos de gran envergadura.\u00a0<\/span>Paralelamente<\/span>, se consolida <\/span>la llamada Fotograf\u00eda Humanista<\/strong> que toma como eje vertebrador la persona, enalteciendo y <\/span>poniendo en valor sus calidades y valores, su esp\u00edritu y dignidad.<\/span><\/p>\n

Edward\u00a0<\/span>Steichen<\/span> y su asistente Wayne Miller (del departamento de fotograf\u00eda del <\/span>MOMA)<\/span> asumieron el reto de crear una exposici\u00f3n mostrando un retrato de la humanidad <\/span>en aquel momento. Es considerada como la mayor empresa fotogr\u00e1fica nunca realizada y <\/span>actualmente todav\u00eda es visitable en el castillo de <\/span>Clearvaux<\/span>\u00a0en Luxemburgo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Desde el\u00a0<\/span>Revela\u2019t<\/span>\u00a0nos propusimos re-visitarla bajo el nombre\u00a0<\/span>Portrait<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>of<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Humanity<\/span>, <\/span>acerc\u00e1ndonos al mismo esp\u00edritu globalizador, a la vez que ofreciendo una visi\u00f3n contempor\u00e1nea.<\/span><\/p>\n

Como destacadas podr\u00edamos denominar, en el \u00e1mbito internacional: Sweet Nothings de la inglesa Vanessa Winship<\/strong>,\u00a0Grays\u00a0the\u00a0mountain\u00a0sends\u00a0del americano Bryan\u00a0<\/strong>Shutmaat<\/strong>, Esencia del <\/span>cubano\u00a0Raul\u00a0Ca\u00f1ibano<\/strong>\u00a0o\u00a0Fovea\u00a0de la canadiense Sarah\u00a0<\/strong>Seen\u00e9<\/strong>. Entre los espa\u00f1oles destacar\u00edamos la exposici\u00f3n Solovki de Juanma Castro Prieto i Rafel\u00a0<\/strong>Trapiello<\/strong>, Madrid en Plata de Lu\u00eds\u00a0<\/strong>Bayl\u00f3n<\/strong>\u00a0y\u00a0Espace1\u00a0de Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Bas<\/strong>. Y como representantes catalanes la de Txema\u00a0<\/strong>Salvans<\/strong>\u00a0y la de Adriana L\u00f3pez Sanfeliu<\/strong>. En 2020 hicimos diferentes exposiciones exteriores, Gigantes de Toni\u00a0<\/strong>Privat<\/strong>\u00a0y la Escudilla de\u00a0Teo<\/strong>\u00a0V\u00e1zquez<\/strong>. Tuvimos 4 exposiciones colectivas: La de Leica Users Group<\/strong>, The Family of a Man; la de la IEFC<\/strong> con las fotograf\u00edas de 3 alumnos y comisariada por Joan Teixidor y la del trabajo de los residentes a la Residencia de Creaci\u00f3n y Experimentaci\u00f3n 2019.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Exposiciones OFF:<\/span><\/p>\n

10 exposiciones en Barcelona, y tambi\u00e9n expusimos en el Hospitalet de Llobregat, Torroella de Montgri, C\u00e1diz, Eibar y Pamplona. Tambi\u00e9n tuvimos dos grandes exposiciones producidas por nosotros. En la Plaza Santa Anna de la capital de comarca Matar\u00f3 y tambi\u00e9n al Puerto mar\u00edtimo de Premi\u00e0 de Mar.<\/span><\/p>\n

Coinciding with the 65th birthday of the exhibition The Family Of Man, curated by Edward Steichen, we have taken this iconic exhibition as the leitmotif of the 2020 edition. Edward Steichen, we have taken this iconic exhibition as the leitmotif of the 2020 edition.<\/p>\n

The Family Of Man is framed in the 1950s, a particularly convulsive decade in which
major socio-political phenomena took place. At the same time, the so-called Humanist photography, which takes the person as its backbone, extolling and valuing their qualities and values, was consolidated and values, their spirit and dignity.<\/p>\n

Edward Steichen and his assistant Wayne Miller (from the photography department of the MOMA) took on the challenge of creating an exhibition showing a portrait of humanity at that time. It is considered to be the largest photographic undertaking ever undertaken and is still can still be visited in the castle of Clearvaux in Luxembourg.<\/p>\n

From Revela’T we proposed to re-visit it under the name Portrait of Humanity,
approaching the same globalising spirit, while offering a contemporary vision.<\/p>\n
