“Erms” proposes a poetic journey through the former border of Berlin in 1993, the year in which, with a Solex, she began to explore and record the limits of the city. After the fall of the Wall, the city began to eliminate the elements that had divided the two halves. The concrete walls, both in the city center and in the suburbs, disappeared and gave way to desolate and empty spaces.

The photographs she took during the many trips she made are not intended to document a historical moment, but to express a visual and emotional, subjective atmosphere.
