PORTFOLIO REVIEW 12X12X20

Do you know that you take good pictures and are determined to materialize them in an exhibition, a photobook or simply need an expert opinion that can help you improve your work?

For the first time at the festival, the activity program includes a portfolio review session, where you can show your project to 12 experts from the world of photography, gallery owners, curators, festival directors, critics, editors… 20 minutes with each one, 4 intense hours in which you can learn a lot.

In addition, the selected projects at the end of the review will get some prizes that will allow you to continue learning and/or to be able to produce your exhibition.

Consult the rules, meet the viewers, and participate in the first Portfolio Review of the festival, that will be held on September 24th at the Sala de la Estrella in Vilassar de Dalt.

If this is the first time that you present yourself at a visioning, maybe you are about to broaden your horizon, to know yourself better, to know how to improve your project… but you have many doubts: What do you want to get, what can or should you present and how to do it, how and to whom to address… and surely many more. Here you have an article by Magdalena Ramírez for Clavoardiendo that surely can be useful for you.

What are you waiting for? You have time to sign up until September 10th.

MEET OUR JURORS

FIRST REVIEW EXPERIENCE

In the 2020 edition, we bet on a portfolio viewing in an open format that we call 12x12x20, twelve projects are reviewed by twelve viewers for 20 minutes each. The reactions were so positive that we have decided to keep this activity in future editions.

Among the winners of the various awards was Marc Avila, who managed to have an exhibition in this edition of the festival with his project “Homo et Natura”.

Apart from this award, it allowed him to have a much broader vision of his work thanks to the advice of creators, gallery owners, etc. and he had the opportunity to exhibit his photographs at the photography festival Les Boutographies, in Montpellier and then in the gallery Valid Foto BCN, a reference gallery in photography in the city of Barcelona.

These are some of the photographs of his work:
