Espace 1

I started working with Espace Jarrot, a shelter for street kids in Brazzaville in 2011 with the help of Fundación Almayuda. I was always attracted to this place, for its energy that together with the heat and humidity provoked a trance-like feeling.

That atmosphere brought the idea of making a documentary called Bango. From those photos, drawings, thoughts, sounds, smells… during the filming, this “Espace 1” is born, some sort of rocket towards an invisible territory where the invisible ones live and where you can learn how relative is everything.
