Economic inequality and privatization of all public services provoked in 2019 a social unrest in Chile.

In these photographs the situation that Chilean demonstrating in the streets since October is exposed. Then they discovered that their miseries and joys were shared, and recognized themselves as a political collective.

The sequence explores three levers of the fight for a XXI century humanity: from creativity in the transformation of places and traditional signs, to the confrontation between the repressive police force and the ill-prepared demonstrators, and ending with the feminist turn that the protests experimented when questioning the male violence.


Enrique Muñoz (Chile)

He has a degree in Philosophy. He has been teaching photography professionally for the last three years. However, he takes photos since he was 16. He exclusively shots black and white film (35 mm and medium format). His specialty is street photography although during the last year he has been focusing in portrait.
