Transmutaciones conceptually bonds the principles and processes of alchemy with experimental photographic techniques, giving them a new meaning and updating this proto-science.

Both disciplines are linked in their processes and in their purposes, both, the photographer and the alchemist, use silver nitrate or alcohol, work in a lab, and try to look for immortality.

It is based on a series of chemigrams made after applying several chemical products over photo paper together with natural elements such as earth, water and sunlight. The final pieces show the remains of the reactions between the solutions used and the transmutation of the elements that become visible as the created image.
