Open Call to exhibit at Revela’t 2024

The call for submissions aims to select three projects carried out in the field of analog photography that will be awarded (production, transport, and fee) and displayed at the next edition of the Revela’t Festival, that will take place from May 18th to June 16th, 2024. Apart from these first three awarded projects, several more can be selected for exhibition if their authors wish, but in this case without the award benefits.

The exhibition opportunity at the festival includes support for the travel and stay of the winners, international promotion and meeting spaces with other professionals in the cultural field and specifically photography.

The call is open to all photographers who have an analog project and the ambition, desire and motivation to show it to the world. Revela’t is a projection platform that places internationally renowned and emerging photographers at the same level and welcomes them every year, because we believe in the strength of projects and the importance of giving opportunities to authors who do not yet have a career consolidated, Revela’t means international projection at any level of the author’s path.

All the participants, selected or not, will have the opportunity to share their work in a digital projection that will take place at the festival’s main venue.

Call closed. The deadline was in October 18th, 2023.

About the Festival

The Revela’t Contemporary Analog Photography Festival is the first analog festival in the world and has been held for twelve years in Vilassar de Dalt (Barcelona, Spain). The festival is a month-long celebration of analog photography that includes exhibitions, markets, workshops, portfolio reviews, residencies… and many other activities, bringing together in the same space relevant and emergent artists, some of them being exhibited for the first time.

During the MainWeekend of the festival, all the authors meet in person, a multitude of activities and meetings are prepared such as a brunch with gallerists, curators, editors and other professionals in the photographic field, guided tours, presence in the media, conferences … One of the most valuable things you will get from the Revela’t are the important contacts you will meet and the relationships you will create here.

Amateurs or professional photographers of any nationality, origin or place of residence, who have a project in the field of chemical or analog photography and that is related to the theme of the 2024 edition, IDENTITY, can register for the call.

How to Submit

For the third consecutive year, we are doing it through Picter, a platform widely used for this type of call, very easy to use and that allows you to save your projects to submit them to other calls around the world. It is also a very practical tool for the jury, making voting quicker but also more mindful and accurate.

When you go to upload the project, you will be asked for a BIO (up to 1500 characters) and a PROJECT DESCRIPTION (up to 2500 characters) and between 10-15 images of a minimum of 1500px on the longest side and in JPG format. That’s all. If you prepare it in advance, you will go through the process very quickly.

Of course, more than one project can be submitted, but as separate entries.
