FAQS

I would like to present more than one project. Is it possible?

Yes, of course. You can submit as many projects as you want, each one counts as a presentation.

Can I apply as a duo or collective?

Yes. But if selected, only one representative can come to the Review Day.

Can I submit projects that are already produced and layout?

The Portfolio Review is a great opportunity to make contacts and achieve international projection, but it is above all a time to learn, listen and exchange opinions and criticism with professionals who can grow or improve your project in the future. You can present a finished project, but we encourage you to come open to give it a twist and welcome other looks and contributions to it.

Who chooses the prizes?

Each prize will be awarded by its representative, who will be part of the team of viewers and, therefore, will know your project first hand. The general prize for production by EGM and exhibition at the Revela’t festival will be chosen by all viewers.

What does the registration and participation fee cover?

The 20€ fee contributes to the administration and promotion expenses that cover the selection process and the equipment and material of the day. If you are Revela’t Friends, as you already contribute to the festival in another way, you benefit from a 50% discount on registration. In no case will the registration fee be refunded. The participation fee partially covers the expenses of the team involved in the day (coordination, production and jury). The participation fee (€100) will be paid by ONLY the photographers selected for the Review. The friend discount does not apply to the participation fee.

If I’m a Friend of Revela’t, how can I get my 50% discount?

All Friends of Revela’t will receive a CODE by mail to enter the call with the discount.

Can you go to the Reviews as a listener?

No, the Review of Portfolios is an activity behind closed doors, which can only be attended by photographers selected in the call.

What if I finally can’t go to the Review?

Any change of attendance and schedule must be notified at least 30 days before the viewing day. And in case you cannot attend 50% of the participation fee will be refunded. If you cannot give 30 days’ notice, the amount of the participation fee will not be refunded, as it is considered that the organization does not have enough time to replace the vacancy.

Can I submit a digital project?

Yes. In Review of Portfolios you can present both analog and digital projects.

If I am selected, can I carry the images on my computer?

No. Selected photographers must bring their images on paper, a size between A5 and A3.
