Festival Revela-t
Hidden Within are wet plate collodion images made directly onto discarded objects.
The discarded objects are mostly old cigarette and tobacco tins and rusted cans; the images are selected from his collection of found items, and include natural and man-made objects.
Each object will contain a different image, but all with a connecting theme: every image is of an object ‘rescued’ by the artist.
In 2014, Steve changed the commercial photographic practice for artistic photography. He is on a continuous journey of self-learning in wet collodion as well as other alternative photographic processes.
