The team Valid Foto BCN Gallery is pleased to present in Vilassar de Dalt and under the Reveal-T 2016 Festival an exhibition of the Japanese photographer Masao Yamamoto (山 本 昌 男).


"Small things in Silence" is a sample in which a route is performed by 20-year career and where we can enjoy its most emblematic works integrated into three groups "A Box of Ku", "Nakazora" and"Kawa = Flow".


Masao Yamamoto, is considered one of the most important photographers of the Japanese landscape. His works reflect a hymn to nature and the poetry of small things, a reflection on the world around us that sometimes we look but we don't see.

Masao Yamamoto

Masao Yamamoto (山 本 昌 男), born in 1957 in the city of Gamagori Japan prefecture of Aichi is a Japanese photographer known for his small images, which tries to individualize the photos as unique objects.
 
Yamamoto began his art studies as a painter, studying oil painting under the supervision of Goro Saito in his hometown. Curretly, uses photography to capture images that can evoke memories. Blurs the boundary between painting and photography experimenting with printed surfaces. Dyes and turns (tea), paint and ripping their photographs. His subjects include still lifes, nudes, and landscapes. It also makes art installations with their small photographs to show how each image is part of a greater reality.
