A singular Vilassar

This route brings us closer to the discovery of representative elements of Vilassar de Dalt’s historical inheritance. Leaving from the Roman kilns in La Fornaca, we will get to know more about Can Manyer library, example of the repurposing of an industrial warehouse into cultural equipment; La Massa theatre, emblematic building by the famous architect Rafael Gustavino; and we will end up at Vilassar’s Musem - Archive, where the town’s acheological testimony can be found.

Roman Vilassar

The archeological enclosure of Vilassar’s roman kilns will bring us closer, body and soul, to the pottery industry that operated between the 1st and the 2nd century AD. This space preserves three kilns dug into clay; two of them have a duble combustion an firing chamber, and a third that only has one. We will walk around an industrial enclosue from two thousand years ago and we will learn more about the Roman past in Vilassar.
