Workshop by Ramón Casanova in collaboration with Marta Colell organized by the Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya (IEFC) [Institute of Photographic Studies of Catalonia].

Registration: 50 € (materials included), to be formalized at IEFC.

What fascinates me of photoframes is that they invite me to think the “photographic” as a tactile universe, where images are manifested by contact, where the perceptible becomes visible by proximity. To take the camera away or make it grow to get inside, to go into the privacy of the laboratory or to dedicate oneself to the darkness of the night, are liturgies causing a hand to hand with the imaginable, diluting the distances between photography and photographed, and wrapping us in the creative act of the luminous.

In watergrams emotion is amplified; only transparency stands between the light and the sensitive. The water, beyond our control, assumes its own logic and asks us, and gives us, vibration, glare, resonance …

The workshop is highly practical. We will spend the first few minutes to present the possibilities of work and creative developments of photographers working with it. We will dedicate the rest of the time to work in the Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya set up spaces.

All of you shall take home the result of your experiences.
